1. Advanced ‘C’ Programming and Common Data Structures
Advanced concepts on Pointers, Stacks, Queues, Linked Lists, Trees, Searching and Sorting techniques, Hashing techniques, Bitwise operators

2. OS Concepts
Process Management, I/O Management, Memory management, Virtual Memory, Etc.

3. Data Communications and Networking
Protocols, Seven layered architecture, Client Server architecture, and Socket programming

4. Microcontrollers & Microprocessors
General architecture, Interfacing, programming, 8051 microcontroller using ‘C’ (Keil) Compiler, Architecture and Interfacing of 8086 Microprocessor and 32-Bit ARM Microcontroller.

5. Digital Signal Processing ( DSP )
Architecture of DSP, Core processor, IO Processor, Serial Ports, Link Ports, External Ports, DMA Controller, Host Interface, SDRAM controller, Applications of DSP. Overview of Matlab.

6. Real Time Operating System I ( RTOS - RTLinux)
Task Scheduling, Task Management, Memory management, Intertask Communication, I/O System, File Systems, Networking, BSPs, Device Drivers, Design Methodology and testing Strategies. Indepth study of RTLinux.

7. Project ( on RTLinux )

8. Real Time Operating System II ( RTOS - VxWorks)
Study of Wind River’s Real Time Operating System - VxWorks and the Tornado Environment. This module will be conducted at CMC, Bandra.
